Our guide to the right to protest

2 November 2021

Our mission is to assist members of the public and civil society to understand and exercise their rights in environmental law and to protect the environment.

The right to protest in Scotland comes mainly from Article 11 (right to freedom of peaceful assembly and to freedom) of the European Convention on Human Rights. Our new guide discusses this right and some of the main laws that affect it.
