Synopsis

This is ERCS’s response to the UK Government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero ‘Electricity Infrastructure Consenting in Scotland: Proposals for reforming the consenting processes in Scotland under the Electricity Act 1989’ consultation. This response addresses the proposals to introduce pre-application consultation requirements and reduce the time limits for taking legal challenges against onshore consenting decisions.
