How the human right to a healthy environment advances the rights of disabled people
This joint briefing with Inclusion Scotland makes the case that incorporation of the human right to a healthy environment advances the rights of disabled people. It recommends that both the human right to a healthy environment and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities are incorporated with sufficient ‘teeth’ so that they work in practice to address systemic discrimination and access to justice on the environment.
This briefing was commissioned by the Human Rights Consortium Scotland.
