Since 2016, a nearby farm to Mary Hurry in West Aberdeenshire has been operating a commercial clay pigeon shooting range which has led to an accumulation of spent lead ammunition (‘lead shot’) on the farm. Mary became concerned that the lead shot accumulating on the farm was an environmental and health risk.
